Robert Lightbourne High School is a co educational secondary school built in the 1970 s to accommodate about 800 students, and has an approximate enrollment of 304 students, with a student/teacher ratio of 11:1. The school was named after Mr. Robert Charles Lightbourne who was an accomplished businessman and politician. He was elected to the House of Representative for Western St Thomas several times and is credited for composing the music of the National Anthem.
