Innovation and Support Encouraging Independent Math Thinkers

Use of Technology will:

  • Foster online collaboration with other students.
  • Provide curriculum support and additional information to students
  • Promote better organization and help students keep track of their assignments
  • Allow students to receive and view assignments online and submit their work via e-mail rather than being required to print them
  • Improve the review process
  • Improve students’ computer skills
  • Make learning more interesting for technology-savvy students

Peer Tutoring creates an academic atmosphere which encourages communication and teamwork, while providing students an opportunity to learn and grow from one another. Peer tutors are often able to take complicated or confusing topics and explain them in a more clear and accessible manner. Students learn in many different ways and giving them a fresh perspective on class materials they are struggling with can sometimes bridge the gap between bewilderment and comprehension.
