Giving Hope With Every Box

From Bull to Holland Bay - Care Packages
Phase II of the Foundation’s COVID-19 Response

The economic fallout and the devastating impact on families, children, and the elderly from this pandemic, will last for many months, if not years. The St. Thomas Renaissance Foundation, thanks to its tremendous community of supporters and volunteers, distributed over 400 care packages across the Parish of St. Thomas. In the remote areas of Springfield and Rowlandsfield to the urban enclave of Bull Bay, the Foundation distributed care packages to some of those suffering from food insecurity before, and since the pandemic began.
The effort capped a two part COVID response. In the first phase, the Foundation donated Ja$1.0 million to the wider efforts to combat and mitigate the effects of coronavirus across the country.
Because of our generous individual, and corporate donors, such as Minnesota based Hormel Foods, and the spirit of collaboration with the Canadian Friends of St. Thomas Healthcare Organization, led by Utilda Walters, the outpouring of gratitude, appreciation, and the sense that each care package made a big difference, was heartening.
