My Jamaican heritage is a fundamental part of how I understand the world. It shaped how I think about ambition, education, community, resilience, service, and what we owe one another when we succeed.
Trying to compete everywhere is not a strategy. Knowing where you can win is.
So, my challenge tonight is simple. If you are a young person, learn and build. If you are a business, experiment and ask where these technologies create real value. If you lead an institution or government, invest deliberately in the capabilities Jamaica will need. And if you are part of the diaspora, ask:’ What relationships, expertise, investment, insight … I can bring home?’
A renaissance happens when we decide that the talent already present in a community deserves investment and opportunity.

Renaissance Foundation Endowment
The Foundation’s endowment is a dedicated and permanent source of funding that will ensure the longevity of the organization for decades to come and serve the needs of future generations of St. Thomians. It provides an opportunity for those who would like their philanthropic contributions to have an impact beyond today.
